He was predeceased by: his son Steven Charles. He is survived by: his wife Sharlot Nelson; his daughters, Karyn Schauf (Robert) of Barron and Kathy Splett (Kevin) of Almena; his grandchildren, Christian Schauf of Park City, UT, Gabriel Schauf (Katie) of Sussex, WI, Zachary Schauf (Brooke) of Barron, Jacob Schauf (Ashley) of Jordan, MN, Kaela Sacquitne (Jake) of Maple Grove, MN and Kelton Splett of Minneapolis, MN; his great grandchildren, Greta, Gracie, Charlie, Hutton, Carter and Mallory; his goddaughter Alicia Wirth (Barry) of Ridgeland; and his sister Carol Jean Hegna (Duane) of Baraboo. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shriner's Hospital for Children and American Legion Brown-Selvig Post 212 of Barron are preferred.
