He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Kirschbaum and Mary Kirschbaum (Tryon); his wife Rowena Birdwell; his children, Neil Kirschbaum and Janet Molldrem (Eric); his grandchildren, Easton, Wren and Ryder; and his siblings, Sandy Jansen (Gary), Bobbie Butteris (Ronnie) and Dale Kirschbaum (Nancy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Duaine's name to Upland Hills Hospice in Dodgeville, Wis.
