He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Roessler and Edna Roessler (Richgels); his former spouse Alva Hess; his stepdaughter Sheila Beloungy; his son-in-law Kurt LaBansky; and his brothers, LaVern, John and Fritz.
He is survived by: his wife Avis DeMars (Smith) of Baraboo; his pets, Pug, Brandi and Mickey; his children, Thomas Roessler (DeeAnne) of Loganville, Debbie LaBansky of Reedsburg, Barb Halliday (Randy) of Green Bay, Terry Roessler (Marcia) of Rock Springs, Tim Roessler (Lynelle) of Reedsburg, Ted Roessler (Tammy) of LaValle, Todd Roessler (Laura) of Trempealeau, Darrell DeMars (Ellen), David DeMars (Beverly), Steve DeMars (Donna), Dennis DeMars (Karen), Sandra DeMars, Ronald DeMars (Lori), Bill DeMars (Cindy), Richard DeMars (Becky), Lori Dickman (Bill) and Robert DeMars (Christine); and his siblings, Shirley Nickerson, Marge Fargen and Raymond "Gene" Roessler. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
