He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Sr. Covoloskie and Anna Covoloskie (Aklinski); and his son Paul. He is survived by: his wife Frances Smigla; his children, Lisa, Suzanne and Steven; and his grandchildren, Grant, Austin, Quinn and Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.
