He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Solterman and Marjorie Solterman (Cease); his former wife Marlene Solterman (Ravey); his siblings, Charles Solterman (Lois) and Betty Hirte (Silas); and his stepsons, Tom Twing and Steve Twing.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Hons-Solterman of Baraboo; his children, Dawn Campos (Emmett), Susan Audette (Jim) and Mark Solterman; his granddaughter Regina Campos; and his stepchildren, Mark Twing (Dawn), Shelley Twing (Tim Walsvick), Beth Krey (Randy), Greg Hons and Chris Hons. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
