He was predeceased by: his daughter Denise Kuhnwald; his grandsons, Robert Nall, Dustin Krueger and Travis Krueger; his great grandchildren, Lailani Rose and Treton Joseph; his brothers, Alois, John, Matthew, Anthony and Florian; and his siblings-in-law, Victor Breunig, Edmund Statz, Antoinette Roth, Donna Roth and Deanna Roth.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Whipp Lake (Kent), Lori Dickerson Sauk (Gary), Kathy Heath Baraboo (George), Sandra Peterson Hub (Rick), Shelly Robinson Cazenovia (Tim) and Cory of Baraboo; his significant other Lovina Tisler of Wisconsin Dells; and his child Mary "Ginger" Kirchoffner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
