He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy and Vernice (Wallsch); his sister Carolyn Hanley; his brother-in-law John Montanye; his mother-in-law Belva Montanye; his nephew David Montanye; and his niece Belva Montanye.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Montanye); his children, Michelle Dees (Tom), Brian (Mary), Mark, Brent (Stacy Sanner Davee) and Melissa Becker (Brad); his grandchildren, Lacey Goerks, Garett Goerks, Gavin Goerks and Micah Becker; and his nieces and nephews, Vicky Reppen (A. J.), Rhonda Freitag (Paul), Therese Bonanno, Roxanne Green, Shawn Newman and Mike Montanye (Carol).

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church and School or a charity of your choice.
