He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hein and Myrtle Hein (Hagemiester); his wife Janet M. Hein (Stefik); his siblings, Robert Hein (Verona) and Charlotte Merry (Joe); his son-in-law Gary Fassl; and his grandson Jeremy Jindra.
He is survived by: his former wife Audrey E. Clement (Smith); and his stepchildren, Oliver M. Clement, Diana Franzen (Rick) and Douglas R. Clement (Bonnie). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emanuel United Methodist Church, the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association or the Baraboo VFW Post 2336.
