It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine Ruth Gerken (Baraboo, Wisconsin), born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 12, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lambert Brost and Anna Brost; her siblings, Leland, Allen, Arnold and Florence Heller; her son Leonard Allen Haferman; and her granddaughter Melissa Haferman.
She is survived by: her spouses, Leonard William Carl Haferman and Howard Wilbur Gerken of Elroy, WI.; her siblings, Madeline Stensberg, Laverne Denis and William Brost (Gail); her children, Nancy Higgins (James), Linda Jenks (Richard), Candace Gruman (Roger) and Timothy Haferman; her stepdaughter Dawn Gerken; her grandchildren, Mark Larson, Kris Rich (Gerry), Scott Larson (Renee), David Larson (Milena), Laura Carpenter, Misty Steffen, Pamela Fuchs (Aaron), Steven Higgins, Jeff Higgins (Nanette), Cody Haferman and William Haferman (Anllelina); and her close friend Florence Huebing. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
