He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sorge and Laura Sorge (Ninnemann); his wife Norma "Betsy" Copper; his son-in-law John Voss; his stepchildren, Mary Hildebrand and Steven Ploof; his daughters-in-law, Deanna Ploof and Elaine Ploof; and his niece Khristina Sorge.
He is survived by: his children, Kellie Sorge Zink (Greg Hochstein) of North Freedom, Traci Rothenburger (Craig) of Endeavor and Eric Sorge (Linda) of North Freedom; his stepchildren, Kathy Ott of Baraboo, Patricia Petersen (Larry) of Baraboo, Tom Ploof of Chippewa Falls, Paula Flynn (Bob Gisvold) of Rozellville, Tim Ploof (Becky Pfaff) of Rock Springs, David Ploof of Baraboo and Mike Ploof (Connie) of Goodyear, Arizonia; his brother Rollin Sorge (Patricia); and his son-in-law Bill Hildebrand of Baraboo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be distributed to various organizations Evan supported.
