He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Gunderson and Elmer Gunderson; and his siblings, Allen and Joyce. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gunderson (Ward); his children, Brad Gunderson (Jessica), Jeanne McPherson (Axel) and Dan Gunderson (Vonny); and his grandchildren, Ryan Gunderson, Anna Rios (Miguel), Grace Gunderson, John Gunderson, Ellie McPherson, Clara Gunderson, Brent McPherson, Luke McPherson and Cale McPherson.
