He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Celia Dunse (Buelow); and his daughter Amy. He is survived by: his former wife Patricia L. Hauge; his wife Maurine Dunse; his children, Angie Dunz, Allison Goetz (Gary) and Anita Wortley (Rodney); his grandchildren, Cody Roznos, Daniel Smith, Brittany Wortley and Riley Wortley; his great grandchildren, Bailey and Hunter Smith; his stepchildren, Garry Ulrich (Rene), Randy Ulrich and Melinda Andersen; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Butler and Timothy Andersen; and his sister-in-law Joyce Burgess. He is also survived by the stepfather to her three children.
