She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her son Robin Gjertsen; her grandson Jerry; and her siblings, Leora Matthews, Kathy Marzofka, Ronald Jr. and Avolt Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Patty Gjertsen (Robin); her children, Lori Highlands (Rick Kastenschmidt), Lyn Highlands (Jeff Johnson), Lisa Highlands (Mike Dow), Ralph (Erin) and Ronald (Deb); her grandchild Noel; her brothers, Ralph Marzofka and Marv Marzofka; and her sister-in-law Marge Marzofka.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to St.Paul's Lutheran School in Bangor or Sunshine on the Trail in Bangor.
