He is survived by: his significant other Jenny Kretman; his sons, Trevor Backes and Devin Backes; his granddaughter Ava Lynn Mae Backes; his mother Marilyn J. Backes; and his siblings, Sheri Anderson (Tony), Jeff Backes (Tracy), Kyle Backes (Heather Jennings), Dani, Karen, Brant Backes (Jamie) and Bruce Backes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
