With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Merle Nelson of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, born in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John Nelson; his sister Tiffany Nelson; and his grandparents, Marvin, Lila Nelson, Merle and Cecelia Beedle.

He is survived by: his son Nolan Nelson; his mother Donna Holm (Leo); and his siblings, Karen Pennings (Rob), Sonja Haynes (Chris), Kristine Turner (Craig), John Nelson, Dawn Yira (Mark) and Lee Nelson (Ami).

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Joy Lutheran Church (501 WI-35, Centuria, WI 54824).

“I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jason and I'd like to share a few fond memories. Jason was a proud father and his love for Nolan was so apparent as he shared photos and stories. Jason was definitely an outdoorsman - he even brought his new icehouse to Land O'Lakes and gave tours! He cared deeply about others and wanted to help them be successful. For example, he shared a list of things not to say to those working in Animal Nutrition, such as "beating a dead horse"! He'll be missed.”
