It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon A. Vandenberg (Baldwin, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 4, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, James Vandenberg (Terry), Gerald Vandenberg (Nancy), Jill Falde (Bruce Anderson), Dennis Vandenberg and Janet Lane; his stepgrandchildren, Honorine Gedatus (Steve), Maurice Schillinger (Greg) and Michelle Lecander (Todd); his stepdaughter-in-law Nancy Rud; and his pet P. O. Box.

“I remember, often times in my youth my father John Ferrise mentioning the name Vandenberg. It is the only name that I remember from Baldwin. We lived on Hopyard road from 47-52 when my father decided to move west. I am sure that my father knew Vernon, being that it is a small community. My father passed five years ago at 95, so their ages were very similar. I wish I could remember more. I pray that so long ago that Vernon and my father were indeed friends.
