She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lokhorst and Annie Lokhorst (Hendriks); her sister Ruth Klanderman; and her brothers-in-law, Craig Wissink and Ken Klanderman.

She is survived by: her husband Lloyd William Doornink; her children, Jeff Doornink (Patti), Carol Rasmusson (Dale), Cherie Egedy (Doug) and David Doornink (Jane); her grandchildren, Sarah Doornink, Tim Boland, Scott Rasmusson (Nicolle), Lindsie Egedy and Nicole Doornink; her great grandchildren, Lynn, Robert and Charlotte Rasmusson; her siblings, Bob Lokhorst and Sharilyn Wissink; and her grandsons, Kyle Rasmusson, Matt Doornink, Greg Doornink, Kevin Egedy, Eric Egedy and Zach Doornink.

Memorials are preferred to the Baldwin Christian School.
