She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Velie and Florence Velie; her former husband Ronald Howard; her husband Duane Herald; and her siblings, LaForest (Spoof), Norm, Julienne, Elaine, Edward (Bud), Dan and Joyce.

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Howard (Maggie) and Kyle Howard (Donna); her grandchildren, Justin Howard (Nicole), Jordan Howard (Marie), Tyler Howard (Alisen), Sarah Borders (Jonathan), Amanda Buck (Alex) and Allison Howard; and her brother Philip. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
