He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Johnson and Florence Johnson (Christensen); and his son Jason. He is survived by: his wife Luella A. Halverson; his daughters, Julie (Lloyd Prater), Shari (Wade Hurst) and Jennifer Johnson (Greg Stewart); and his sister Jeannie Esperson. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
