She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Ikeda. She is survived by: her children, Laurence Ikeda (Andrea DeCoro), Louise Lester (Thomas), Jennifer Ikeda Faugust (Michael) and Mary Susan Ikeda; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Mark Ikeda and Steven Lester; and her siblings, Teruko Craig and Masahiro Ugaya. She is also survived by her many friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Akiko's name to the United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston.
