Marilyn A. Peter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2025, at the age of 91, Marilyn A. Peter of Athens, Wisconsin passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn A. Peter to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wanke and Anna Wanke (Schiferl); her brother Jerome Wanke; her parents-in-law, Michael and Mary Peter (Schreiner); and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Peter and Vera Wanke.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Peter; her children, Mark Peter, Ann Goetsch (Greg), John Peter (Margie), Steve Peter (Michelle), Jean Thurs (Ron), Tom Peter (Juli), Jim Peter (Traci) and Lori Ellenbecker (Aaron); and her brothers, Joe Wanke, Dennis Wanke (Ethel) and Ron Wanke (Karen). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (417 Caroline St, Athens, WI 54411). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marilyn's name to St. Anthony's Parish, 407 Caroline St., PO Box 206, Athens, WI 54411 or directly to the family for a memorial to be named at a later date.
