He is survived by: his siblings, Don (Julie Wendt) and Dorothy (Norman Reitz); his spouse Lauraine Oleson; his children, Kathleen Wendt (Randy), Patricia Wolfgram (Donald), Delbert Jr. Wendt (Heidi), Laurie Wendt (Dave) and James Wendt (Shelly); his grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer Seehawer, Joshua Seehawer (Samantha Townsend), Delbert Wendt III, Allison Wendt, Phillip Wendt (Julie), Danny Wendt, Brett, Marriah Doering, Dillon Wendt (Rachel Black), Brandon Wendt (Katie Apfel) and Brooke Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Jaylen Seehawer, Blake, Josie, Carly Seehawer, Jensen, Jasper, Jonas Wendt, Morgan Potvin and Amber Jade Stewart.

We often spoke of The Navy and both of our experiences. Del always told me I was the only person he could talk about life in Seymour and the farm growing up. He was always 19 years older than me.
