He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Nemec and Della Nemec (Brown); his wife Holly Nemec; his parents-in-law, Leon and Alice Lewandowski; his stepmother-in-law Mary Stryker Lewandowski; his brother Danny Joe Nemec; his grandparents, James, Elda Nemec, Leo and Della Brown; and his nephews, Beau Nemec, Johnny Hogan and Marcus Andary.

He is survived by: his children, Allison Umlor (Steven) of Ashland, Jarred Nemec (Danni Delgado) of Ashland, Nicholas Nemec of Ashland and Samuel Nemec of Ashland; his grandson Maxwell James Umlor of Ashland; his siblings, Mary Kay Nemec of Ashland, Diane Nemec of Ashland, Tom Nemec (Tammy) of Ashland, Tim Nemec of Ashland, Pat Nemec of Ashland and Pete Nemec of Ashland; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Hogan (John) of Duluth, Molly Andary of LaPointe, David Lewandowski of Duluth and Tommy Lewandowski (Diane) of Duluth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and close friends.
