He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Menting and Rose Menting (Baader); his brothers, Junior and Darrell; his brother-in-law Donald Orne; his daughter-in-law Missy Menting; and his grandsons, Josh Meunier and Jimmy Byrne.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Jackie Meunier, Jeff Menting (Michelle), Janet O'Connell (Neil), John Menting (Kristine) and Joe Menting (Shelia Johnson); his grandchildren, Kristina (Gustavo), Elizabeth, Christopher (Kenzie), Cody, Jessica (Daniel), Samantha (Brandon), Danielle (Tyler) and Justin (Nina); his sister Joanne Orne; and his sisters-in-law, Veronica Menting and Christine Menting. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
