He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Alm and Olga Alm (Hermanson); his wife Lois Reichling; his grandson Kirk Staver; and his sister Joyce Lancaster.

He is survived by: his children, Christine Phillipson (David) of Argyle, Julie Oliver (John) of Spring Green, WI, Bruce Alm of Kewaunee, WI and Linda Bawden (Gary) of Darlington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
