He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudy Friske and Esther Friske. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Olson Nyhus; his great grandchild Mya; his stepdaughters, Regina Nyhus, Rhonda Schlafli (Jim) and Renee Slack (Rob); his grandchildren, Jada Krahenbuhl (Bryan), Rachel Maske, Rick Naujeck (Julie), Sheila Miller (Al), Brian Schlafli (Diane) and Keith Schlafli (Heather); and his great grandchildren, Blake, Mason, Brynlee, Emberly Krahenbuhl, Claudia, Dawson Miller, Karter, Griffin, Chelsea and Sawyer Schlafli.
Out of concern for the current COVID-19 pandemic, and Virginia and the family's health, a private family service will be held (in the near future) at Blanchard Hall in Blanchardville with an hour of private family visitation to be held prior to the service.
