He is survived by: his mother Barbara Hicks (Konkel); his wife Esther Cox; his children, Amy, Nicholas (Lynn), James (Laura), Sarah (Bryan) and Samuel; his grandchildren, Nichole, Abagail, Travis, Tristan, Sophia, Savannah, Mariah, Jasmine, Jayden, Vanessa, Sylar, Tyrion, Marsali, Darius and Cheyanne; and his siblings, Nancy (Fred), Tracey (Robert) and Brian (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
