He was predeceased by: his brother Justin; his stepmother Clarice Soppa Bawek; and his stepsiblings, Francis Haines and Pat Falkerson (Jack). He is survived by: his father Glen Bawek of Arcadia; his wife Carol Jean Soppa of Arcadia; his son Dr. Tony Bawek (Jessie) of Pine Creek; his grandson Jax Jameson Bawek; his mother Emmalene Nelson (Nelson) of Galesville; his siblings, Margo Bautch (Scott) of Wausau, Rebecca Ankrum (Ted) of Andover, MN, Craig (Lynelle) of Arcadia, Bradley (Lori) of Lake Elmo, MN and David (Dena) of Spring Valley; his stepsiblings, Marcus Haines (Debbie), Marge Patzner (Tom), Barb Kissinger (David), Marie Pronschinske (Tom), Virg Gamroth (Scott), Marsha Benson (Norman), Charlotte Semling (Al) and Kathy Schank (Pete); and his godchildren, Kaleah Bautch, Corrine Gore, Nick Bremer, Cole Bawek and Ava Bawek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In observance of the CDC guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish in Arcadia, with Father Kyle Laylan officiating.
