He was predeceased by: his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Kristen Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Claraton Smith and Janet Smith (Matchey) of Joseph's Hospital; his sister Barbara Garofalo (Jim); his nephews, Anthony and Joe of Arcadia; his brothers, William of Arcadia and Ben of Wauwatosa; his niece Ashley Lund (Jake); his great-nephew Miles; his niece Allison Linsmeyer (Wallace); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Reece and Wren Ro. He is also survived by many relatives, coworkers and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the American Diabetes Research Foundation in Brian's name.
