Agnes Winifred Backes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2019, at the age of 93, Agnes Winifred Backes (Arcadia, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Slaney and Myrtle Slaney; her husband Paul Backes; and her siblings, Marcella Slaney, Monica Ballweg, Erma Sarahan, Marjorie Faultersack, Lyle, Maurice and George Slaney.

She is survived by: her children, Sally Hamm (Greg) of Anchorage, Ala and Michael Backes (Margaret) of Arcadia; her grandchildren, Samuel Backes, Mary Herrera (Mar), Lydia Cisneros (Eric) and Grace Backes (Andrew Sonsalla); her great grandchild Cameron Herrera; and her siblings, Joyce Williams (Dave) and William Slaney.

Memorial donations may be made to Grand View Care Center or Holy Family Parish.
