She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest "Fritz" Whitman and Gloria Whitman (Schroeder); her husband Thomas Heuer; and her brother Stevie Whitman. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Coyle (John), Gena Olson (Robert) and Thomas Heuer (Monica); her grandchildren, Emily Coyle, Benjamin Coyle, Faith Ann Heuer, Anna Dibbs (Colton), Cathryn Coyle, Zachary Coyle, Claire Olson and Evan Olson; her sisters, Kathy Sager, Mary Furstenberg (Rick) and Ellen Rothman (Dave); her sister-in-law Micki Kickland (Richard); her cousin Karen Radtke; her close friend Mary Lee Schabo; and her caregiver Julie Pitsch. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
