He is survived by: his wife Sherry Bumpus; his children, Mandy Allen (Joe), Stephen Erich Bumpus II, Dalynn Doehler (Tony), Jesse T. Rueger (Jalina) and Jeromy (Janil); his grandchildren, Savanna Bumpus, Dakota Smith, Marley Allen, Tyler Bumpus, Spencer, Devanee Sprotte, Miracle Dohler, Drake Rueger, Ronin Rueger, Lejin Rueger, Sylas and Tieygan Rueger; his brothers, Joe W. Bumpus (Julie) and Jimmy Bumpus; his mother-in-law Mary Lou Rueger (Weber); and his sister-in-law Jeanne R. (Dalton). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
