He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hopfensperger and Marie Hopfensperger (Jochmann); his sister Marion; his brother-in-law Carl Buchinger; his sisters, Lucy Hopfensperger and Mary Helen Hopfensperger; his father-in-law Denis Uitenbroek; and his nephews, Bob Buchinger, Brendan Uitenbroek and Craig Uitenbroek.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Uitenbroek; his children, Jake, Tony (Kelleen), Peter Hopfensperger and Maria Pribek (Drew); his grandchildren, Hugh Hopfensperger and Baby Myla Pribek; his brother Edward Hopfensperger; his mother-in-law Irene Uitenbroek; and his friend Harvey Schmuck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Roger's name has been established.
