He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. Coenen and Edna Littel Coenen; his siblings, Francis "Bud" Coenen (Dodie), Mary Helen Chamberlin (Earl), Lois Evans and Charles Coenen; his brother-in-law John Schrup (Sally); and also, Myrtle and Edmund Schrup.
He is survived by: his wife Jean M. Schrup; his children, Nicholas Coenen (Liz), Johanna Coenen, Peter Coenen (Sue) and Toby Coenen (Colleen Frost); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel and David; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Evans and Theo Dahl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
