He was predeceased by: his son Michael Ganzen; his sister-in-law Sue Ganzen; his parents-in-law, Louis "Bud" and Elaine Blair; and his brother-in-law Jack Blair (Pat).

He is survived by: his wife Patty; his son Carl Ganzen (Mimi); his grandsons, Michael, Jacob and Nathan; his stepdaughter Heather Fenske (Brett); and his siblings, Dennis Ganzen, David Ganzen (Debbie) and Danelle "Missy" Klassen (Bob). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
