He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Ellen Rich. He is survived by : his daughters, Sara and Betsy; and his grandson James. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (435 High Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the UW Oshkosh Foundation for the Mary Ellen and Norman J. Frenzel Scholarship and to the Health Career Scholarship Fund at Theda Care Medical Center in Appleton. Contributions to the American Heart Association and to the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center would also be appreciated.
