He is survived by: his parents, Jodi Heckel Johnson and David Thiel (Rita); his daughter Sylvie Juliet; his fiancé Lindsey Pomputis; his child Beck Thiel; his brother John Thiel (Molly); and his stepbrother Nathan Penn (Jenny). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
