He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Ratzburg and Adeline Ratzburg; his wife Rojene Ratzburg; and his brothers, Frederick and Harold Ratzburg.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Ward (Todd), Dale and David Ratzburg (Mary); his sister Pat Dieck (Wayne); his niece Connie Beyersdorf (Tim); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tailyn and Tyler. He is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
