He is survived by: his mother Bernice Shawano (Kapishkowit); his wife Sonja Wayka; his children, Leon Nahwahquaw, Jr., Cody Nahwahquaw, Mark Johnson and Jered Corn; his grandchildren, Leland Nahwahquaw and Rebecca Nahwahquaw; and his siblings, Val Self (Mark), Muriel Waupoose, Rose Tucker (Shannon), George Nahwahquaw, Sr., Mary Nahwahquaw, Denise Black (Nahwahquaw), Leighton LaMotte, Lisa LaMotte, Jerry Nahwahquaw, Marquise LaMotte, Kemawin Dess and Twila Shawano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
