With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine A Muthig of Appleton, Wisconsin, born in Missoula, Montana, who passed away on September 28, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Papageorge and Edna Papageorge (Priddy); her husband Kenneth Muthig; her sons, Johnny Lane and Bruce; her grandchildren, Kailey May Peerenboom and Jesse Muthig; her siblings, Georgia Papageorge, Charlotte Shaw (Jack) and John Papageorge; and her pets, Issy and Sophia.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Muthig, Debbie Vanden Heuvel (Charlie), Cynthia Remus (Kenneth), Norma Peerenboom (Tim) and Karen Phelps; her daughter-in-law Leah Muthig; her grandchildren, Ben Muthig (Beki), Robin Muthig, Chris Brennan, Rick Muthig (Brenda), Bill Muthig (Tracy), Nicole Soman (Darren), Chris Vanden Heuvel (Jill), Kelly Vanden Heuvel, Kari Mattioli (Tom), Alisha Calewarts (Eric), Lance Remus (Amanda), Ally Tanzer (Dave), Johanna Staniak (Aaron), Hailey Merkes (Paul), Jennifer Benson (Mark), Sam Phelps (Gina) and Sydney Hassler (John); her great grandchildren, Dalton Stoeger (Bethany), Taylor Muthig, DonEvan Muthig, Codie Muthig, Nevaeh, Zaydan, Takodah, Braven, Soman, Trevor Vanden Heuvel, River, Harper, Skyler, Delilah Mattioli, Sawyer, Hudson, Isla Calewarts, Ezra, Adelyn Remus, Hugh Peerenboom, Alethia, Henry, Walter, Maddox Benson, Maxim and Hunter Phelps; her great great grandchild Isabell Stoeger; and her brothers, Tom Papageorge (Vicky) and Hal Papageorge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends.
