With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph James Muhlebach (Appleton, Wisconsin), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank X. Muhleback and Rachel Muhleback (Bush); his siblings, Clarence Muhleback, Charles Muhleback, Frank E. Muhleback, Margaret Muhleback, Lucille Book and Carolyn Ehrecke; and his siblings-in-law, James Foley, Richard Snyder, Robert Kettenhofen, John Kettenhofen, Mary Kettenhofen, Maxine Kettenhofen and Joan Stranathan.
He is survived by: his wife Anne C. Kettenhofen of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Catherine Dougherty of Neenah, WI, Patricia McCarthy (David) of Appleton, WI and Michael Muhlebach (Bonnie) of Menasha, WI; his grandchildren, Jessica Krahenbuhl (Matt) of Menasha, WI, Katie Vechart (Josh) of Appleton, WI, Parker Dougherty (Sarah Gilmour) of Grimes, IA, Connor McCarthy of DePere, WI and Cara McCarthy of Wauwatosa, WI; his great grandchildren, Henry Joseph and Brynlee Anne Vechart of Appleton, WI.; his sisters, Marie Foley of Sterling, IL and Helen Snyder of Dixon, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Book (Nancy) of Sterling, IL and Fay Kettenhofen of Appleton, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (1617 W Pine St, Appleton, WI 54914). A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
