He was predeceased by: his parents, James Knuijt and Helen Knuijt (Hoffman); his brother Jeff Knuijt; and his brothers-in-law, Leonard "Joe" McIlhone and Kenneth "Ken" Hartung.
He is survived by: his daughter Hope Amber Knuijt (Trevor Berlin); and his wife Lana McIlhone. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his honor.
