He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Lamers and Marie Lamers (Weyenberg); his son Early; his sister Elizabeth (Otto Diestler); and also, Raymond, Luanna Schwalenberg (Welhouse) and Joyce Schwalenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Schwalenberg; his son Scott (Susie); his grandchildren, Christopher and Katie; his son Jamon (Patience); his grandchildren, Elise and Maelle; his son Eric (Karen Lee); his siblings-in-law, Gary Schwalenberg (Janet), Linda Engel (Warren), Karen Van Drasek (James) and Sue Vanderloop (Bruce); his godchildren, Aaron Jakl, Tom Diestler and Lindsey Vanderloop; his niece Mary Schucknecht (Troy); his great-nephew Tom Diestler; his nieces and nephews, Lori, Sheri, Jennifer Schwalenberg, Lindsey Vanderloop, Dan Schwalenberg, Brett and Garret Van Drasek; and his cousin Tom Weyenberg.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established to place a park bench on a local biking trail.
