With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim R. Schafhauser (Appleton, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 5, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schafhauser and Anna Schafhauser (Fux); his wife Beatrice Schneider; his siblings, Paul Schafhauser (Millie), Gertrude "Cookie" Krueger (Harold) and Bette Sturgis (Harry); his siblings-in-law, Imelda Watry (Eldon), Priscilla Schneider (Don), Lucille Sukowaty (Greg), Cyril Schneider and Marvin Thielman; and his nieces and nephews, Linda Kasten, Ginny Ortlieb, Cindy Schneider, MaryBeth Watry, Joe Schneider, Mark Thielman and Tom Watry.
He is survived by: his friend Jerry Herb; his children, Heidi Schmitz (Jim), Rachel Miller (Todd), Hans Schafhauser, Paula Van De (Mike) and Becky Steger (Ben); his grandchildren, Jacob Schmitz, Andrew Schmitz (Jen), Noah Schmitz (Cassidy), Isaiah Schmitz, Shyla Miller, Hannah Miller (Erik Bies), Zach Miller, Kylie Rieder (Brayton Palmer), Emily Rieder, Ethan Steger (Alexis Cosme) and Ella Steger; and his siblings-in-law, Millie Thielman, Janice Schneider and Cletus Schneider (Rita). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jim would like a donation to be made in his name to the Old Glory Honor Flight.
