He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Davel and Nettie Davel; his wife Lorna; his brother Ronald Davel; and his grandson Charles Davel.

He is survived by: his children, Victoria Davel (Jeff Franke), Steven Davel (Bonnie), Cynthia Hockenberry (James), Mary Glisczinski (Jeff) and Michael Davel (Mary). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
