It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harland W. Shorey of Appleton, Wisconsin, born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Shorey and Agnes Shorey (High); and his siblings, Darwin Shorey and Joann Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Deanna Appenzeller; his children, Scott Shorey (Marcia W.), Lori Schneider (Chris), Bret Shorey, Julie Hahnemann (Todd) and Patricia Van Handel (Todd); his sister Joyce Piz; and his sisters-in-law, Cathy Washburn (Glen) and Willa Rose. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 601 Glendale Ave. in Appleton, WI.
