She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Ropella and Rose Ropella (Dombrowski); her husband Harley Bastian; her siblings, Edwin Ropella, Irene Marx, Ruffin Ropella, Dennis Ropella, George Ropella, Dorothy Maness, Theresa James, Regina Ropella and Florian Ropella; and her stepdaughter Elaine Bastian.

She is survived by: her children, Paul Bastian (Patti) and Linda Garrigan (Kevin); her stepchildren, Stan Bastian (Kathy) and Audrey Ewert (Clair); her sister Lillian Shadduck; her daughter-in-law Julie Skrobel; her grandchildren, Amanda Heimerl (Dustin), Melissa Garrigan (Nathan), Alexis Bastian and Apryl Bastian; her stepgrandchildren, Kevin Ewert (Tina), Brian Ewert (Cari), Tammy Williams (Sean), Penny Fritsch (Peter), Michael Bastian (Malea), Cassie DeWolfe (Zack) and Sydney Host (Josh); her great grandchildren, Caeden, Cullen, Coleson Heimerl and Austin Burroughs; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Samuel, Nathan Ewert, Ainsley, Brielle, Camdon, Daelyn Williams, Sierra, Logan Fritsch, Jordon, Brennan and Ian Bastian.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
