Frankie Toonen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frankie Toonen of Appleton, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Frankie leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Frankie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Durrett and Ethel Durrett (Boyer); her sister Sara Martindale; and her brother-in-law Ora Martindale. She is survived by: her husband Paul Toonen of Appleton; and her children, Peter (Janet) of Luxemburg, WI and Paula of Appleton, WI.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (410 W Lawrence St, Appleton, WI 54911). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for various organizations Frankie was passionate about.
