He was predeceased by: his parents, George Steele and Mabel Steele; his wife Neva Steele; his son Joseph Steele; his granddaughter Jessica Wilke; and his sisters, Ellen Weber, Charlotte Sunie and Dorothy Herrick.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Steele (Gwenn) and Julie Belongea (Scott); his grandchildren, MacKensie Rae, Elijah Francek, Geneva Steele, Samantha Belongea and Becca Belongea; and his brother Roy Steele. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Friends of The Appleton Fire Department.
