It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Halaburda of Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eva Halaburda to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Halaburda; her parents, Petro Fesz and Emilia Fesz (Fylak); and her brothers, Stefan Fesz, Ivan Fesz (Anna), Mychajlo Fesch (Anna), Wasyl Fesz (Maria) and Dmytro Fesz (Daria).
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria "Mary" Kraj (Bohdan), Olga Hietpas (Daniel) and Lidia Boisson (Gilles); her grandchildren, Natalie, Emily Kraj, Maksym, Alexander Hietpas, Andrew and Emily Boisson; her siblings, Andrej, Petro Fesz (Anna), Volodymyr Fesz (Maria) and Maria; and her cousin Emily. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
If desired, Eva's family suggests memorial contributions may be directed to the Go Fund Me (https://www.gofundme.com) fund for "West Ukraine Catholic Monastery Expansion" (Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ) which was set up by Eva's daughter to help provide spiritual and psychological healing for those in Ukraine suffering from war trauma.
